WELCOME TO POST 6908 MOUNTAIN CITY

No One Does More for Veterans
"You’ve Stood the Watch. Now, Stand With Us."There is a language only combat veterans speak, and a bond only the battlefield can create. Whether you served in the war on terrorism, peacekeeping expeditionary campaigns, or the major conflicts of decades past, you have earned your place among us. We know the sacrifice of the long deployment and the weight of the uniform. We welcome you into our ranks to find that same sense of purpose and belonging you felt downrange. Here, your stories are understood, your achievements are celebrated, and your well-being is our highest priority. Welcome to the VFW—you’re finally home.

Announcements

As we prepare to celebrate the 4th of July and the 250th Birthday of the United States right here in Johnson County, TN, we’re inviting our community to be part of something truly historic. This once-in-a-generation celebration will include a morning bike ride from Damascus to Mountain City, a Mud Run at the future VFW Hall site, a Main Street parade, and an evening celebration at Ralph Stout Park with a kids’ area, live music, and a fireworks display. Events like this only happen because neighbors step up to help. Whether you’d like to volunteer your time or enter a float, vehicle, organization, or walking group in the parade, we encourage you to get involved. Please take a moment to fill out the Volunteer Form or the Parade Entry Form. Let’s work together to make Johnson County’s celebration of America’s 250th birthday one to remember for generations to come.
